School 82 PDS
Students in Kathleen Falconer's EDU312 section worked together to host a Family Math and Science Night in the Spring of 2005. Families enjoyed the fun math centers that were set up in the gym. Below are a few pictures of the event.
Windermere PDS
The Junior Participants at Windermere and parent volunteers worked collaboratively to coordinate the first daytime Math Fair event. For the JPs, it was a unique opportunity to integrate 311/ELA content with the Gr. 3-4-5 math curriculum. The JPs created nine different math stations along with verbal Math Ad-Libs that were also placed at each of the stations. They also displayed math riddles on the school hallway bulletin board, designed creative poster boards of math poetry, and raffled off a variety of nine different math-based literature books that participating classrooms had a chance to win. In addition, each Windermere student took home a collection of more math games and activities they could try with their families. This event was a great success.
