AJS and Buffalo State's 3 Sisters Garden is growing by leaps and bounds! Through the generosity of Buffalo State A.J. Schmidt Elementary School a PDS partner with Dr. Chris Shively awarded a grant for this incredible opportunity. Our Native American families and students drew up the plans and everyone went to work. Dr. Shively and his pre-service teachers will continue the work throughout the upcoming year through K-2 science. Even Dr. Shively waters the garden!! We can't wait to celebrate our harvest in September with our Fall Fest.

In September 2016, Crystal Holmes-Smith, former PDS Representative and Graduate Assistant, was welcomed into the Moriah School community as the new 4th and 5th grade teacher...MORE. And recently, Crystal was invited to serve as a Peace Corp Volunteer. Beginning in August 2017 she will serve as an English as a Foreign Language Co-Teacher in Nicaragua.
