The SUNY Buffalo State PDS Consortium is a group of schools and centers from New York as well as Internationally that meet at regularly scheduled times to discuss issues related to teacher education, the PDS program, establish policy, foster specific PDS initiatives, provide essential communication links with Buffalo State and jointly registered two-year colleges, and support educational best practices and related initiatives. The Consortium includes college faculty and school partners associated with the Teacher Education Unit (TEU) at Buffalo State. This partnership is a dynamic group of dedicated educators who support clinically rich practice and school improvement.
All teacher education faculty, student teacher supervisors, and administrators as well as our school partners are considered members of the Consortium and may partake in all of its benefits. Buffalo State Teacher Candidates are also members of the Consortium and are invited to participate fully. Faculty and administrators from our two year institution partners are also invited members of the Consortium. Among these member benefits are many professional development opportunities, an annual retreat, and regularly scheduled meetings.
Each PDS creates a liaison committee to help govern at the school or center level. The liaisons support the Consortium and act as the communication link between the larger Consortium and each PDS. An Advisory Council, TEUPAC, helps govern the Consortium.
