The International PDS Travel Support Scholarship is for Buffalo State students seeking funding support from their department and/or school unit for travel expenses related to participation in a School of Education’s International Professional Development Schools (IPDS) program or other teach, research or study abroad program or opportunity.
Funds can be used toward the costs of travel including transportation, lodging, registration, program fees and other approved costs. Scholarship funds can only be used to pay for costs directly related to the travel. Meals will not be covered.
The eligible candidate must be collaborating with a member of the Buffalo State faculty to participate in a program that is directly related to the candidate’s teacher education experience. The eligible candidate must be enrolled and in good standing at Buffalo State.
Applicants must complete just ONE application form with supporting documentation by the deadlines listed below and submit to the School of Education Office of the Dean. The SOE will forward each request to the appropriate department chair and school dean to seek funding on behalf of the applicant.
The dean and department chair corresponding with the applicant's academic program will review applications and determine the amount the recipient will receive. A representative of the dean of the School of Education will approve all requested costs and facilitate the required paperwork and process for distributing the scholarship funds.
Applications should be submitted at least 3 months prior to travel.
