The International PDS in Cabarete, Dominican Republic provides opportunities for teacher candidates from Buffalo State to gain exposure to the Dominican culture and educational system by observing and working in local schools. Participants complete service learning activities with a not-for-profit organization and study the Spanish language. Buffalo State teacher candidates and faculty/staff travel to the Dominican Republic every other January for two and a half weeks.
