Nairobi, Kenya (view map) is located in the southwest of Kenya. Nairobi is the capital and largest city of Kenya. The name is derived from the Maasai phrase Enkare Nairobi, which translates to 'place of cool waters', a reference to the Nairobi River which flows through the city. During Kenya's early period, the city became a centre for the coffee, tea and sisal industries.[12][13] The successive black governments since independence have built and turned Nairobi into a modern metropolitan city with a diverse population and a growing economy.
Final program costs are determined once all participants are enrolled. The current program estimate of $5000 is all inclusive and consists of: round-trip flight, lodging, group ground transportation, group cultural excursions, travel health and evacuation insurance, required immunizations/medications, administrative fees, and passport. Some expenses are included in a one-time fee applied to participants' Buffalo State tuition. Other expenses participants direct-pay to vendors before and during travel.
